Bio

Abi Carter-Simpson won over the hearts of the nation on Britain’s Got Talent 2023 reaching the live semi-finals with her musical comedy. A trained actor, stand-up comic and primary school teacher, her performing career spans over more than a decade and is a regular on the UK and Europe’s comedy circuit sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in comedy. She has told her jokes on many a stage whether it be on live television, entertaining the troops or at some of the world’s biggest music festivals including Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds and Download festival to name a few.

Abi trained in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting and has tread the boards in the West End and toured the UK. She has made appearances on BBC and ITV, also playing Cassandra Laggett-Brown in Sky One’s hit show – Agatha Raisin.

Alongside her performing career, Abi trained as a primary school teacher during the COVID pandemic and taught Year 6 at a school in West London which is to date one of her biggest achievements! She wrote the music and lyrics for ‘Arty’s Animagation’ which received excellent reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022. Her passion for music, singing and positivity has led her to now teach music and spread the positive vibes wherever she can. A music teacher by day and comedian by night… a superhero that no one realised they needed!!

From graduating as a teacher post-covid to winning the hearts of the nation on Britain’s Got Talent, Abi presents a show of hilarious comedy, storytelling, and musical interludes on her trusty ukulele for moral support.
